Category Impression
How the category impression works |
While the caller waits to be connected to the selected business, he
or she will listen to one 'Category Spot.' Each 'Category Spot' will
match the callers interests. After the spot, the caller will
be connected.
Examples:

- If the caller requests Papa John’s Pizza and Pizza Hut is the sponsor of the Pizza Delivery category,
the 'Category Spot' may sound like this: “This category is brought to by Pizza Hut, who would like
to offer you a 2-topping pizza and a free liter of Pepsi for only $8.99. To be connected to the
Pizza Hut nearest you, please press 1 now, otherwise stay on the line to be connected to your
original selection.”
- If the caller requests a pharmacy and Longs Drugs is the sponsor of the Pharmacies category. The
'Category Spot' may sound like this: “Longs Drugs will discount all prescriptions by 5% to callers
of 1-800-SAN-DIEGO. Press 1 now to speak with the Longs Drugs pharmacist nearest you, otherwise
stay on the line to be connected to your original selection.”
